We were three (one on an E-Mountain bike, one on a E-Road bike and one on a conventional road bike) heading into a fairly strong headwind to start our trip. Christine set an easy pace out to Township road 272 into the wind. At 272 road we turned west and seemed to have a tailwind to Grand Valley Road as riding was easy - must have been a NNE wind. At Grand Valley Road, we enjoyed a lunch break by the postal boxes. Grand Valley Road never disappoints with its wonderful scenery while a strong tailwind pushed us along quickly with little pedalling required. At Highway 1A which the ladies were not too excited about riding (even for the short distance back to the cars), they put their bikes on maximum power and rocketed towards the Horse Creek traffic lights. The coordinator was left in the dust, but the ladies waited for me once off the highway. After loading the bikes into the car, we adjourned to Coffee Traders in Cochrane for a nice hot coffee and good conversation.

Thanks to Christine and Jeannette for a nice ride and the great pseudo-tailgate party afterwards.
