With the fluctuating weather, trail conditions were a blend of everything. The first section was VERY muddy. I think the most mud I've ever walked in. Next, frozen mixed with mud and later a few very short sections of somewhat solid ice. The weather was pleasant and calm on the ascent, until the top above tree-line where it became almost blow-you-over windy. It was a quick sprint across to take us back below tree-line where we enjoyed a short break to refuel and laugh about the wind. What a positive group! From there, the conditions were really nice and we were lucky to enjoy warm sunshine and no wind for the rest of the day. Thanks to Norman,Yoko,Teresa,Jane,Cristina,Jo,Christine for a wonderful day out before the next blast of winter arrives. Spring in Calgary is never boring!

Thankfully the "beautiful spring day" I promised everyone did arrive eventually.

Happy Ramblers enjoying the sunshine, stories and perhaps more importantly - lunch.
