Monday it was up on Hilda ridge to ski the cold North facing slopes .

There was 10 to 20 cm of soft snow on a firm base and a challenging descent through the trees on somewhat crusty and fast snow.

Tuesday night brought 10 cm new which we used to ski Parker's North aspects . Some crunchy spots , some shark infested terrain and some

spots with 20 cm of soft on a firm base .

The first night we had a knock on the door . It was Ollie aka Oliver Cohen who had run, pushing a baby stroller, from Seattle . He was doing 40 to 60 km a day unsupported , winter

camping on the side of the road . We put him up for 3 nights . Ollie's blog .
