After a ten minutes walk on the road we started up the s.w ridge of Gunnery mountain on a steep but decent trail. At a no rush pace it took us less than two hours to reach the top for an early lunch in sunny and windless conditions. In a curious weather phenomen a wave of low cloud was spilling over the peaks of the Continental divide. To complete the loop we went down to Gunnery creek valley and up the wide ridge between Gunnery and Grass passes. It's a pleasant walk down the ridge with views to the south. Back at the cars at 3:10 for a 5 hours trip including lunch.8.6 Km and 720 m of elevation.
