This was great weather for a hike: lots of sunshine and deep blue sky. There was a snow packed trail leading up to the col where we stopped for a snack before trying to break trail towards the South Summit.

A snowy day at Baldy Pass

. Because of the amount of snow, we gave this up and decided to go part way up Midnight Peak which had a broken trail. After awhile this also resulted in postholing so we decided to return, somewhat reluctantly, as this was a gorgeous day. On the descent, we walked for awhile along the hiking trail which connects the Baldy Trail to Wasootch. Thanks to Elaine and Jeannette for being a lot of fun. 13.5 km
