We went from leisurely 10:30am start to leisurely ski tour. Meeting at the top gondola was easy, and all 4 of us including passholders skinned or walked the 20 minutes to the ski hill boundary. Clear skies, mild temperatures and a soft breeze drew us on towards the first hill south of Rock Isle Lake. It was covered in soft pillowy powder snow, while Quartz Ridge looked wind blown and scree covered. Not good looking skiing at all. So we skied a lap on the first hill we had come to. Then ambled onwards to the next hill, skied a lap on that. Technically, both these hills are part of the Quartz Ridge complex, so we decided we were satisfied with our achievements, and wandered back towards the Sunshine Village, taking in short micro runs on small hills along the way. Two members took on the ski out, two others rode the gondola down, probably for the 15 minute nap it provided.

An excellent relaxed day with great company.
