A good sized, chatty group set off from Mist day use at 10am. The weather for the day could best be described as mixed! The trail was muddy in places so it had rained recently.

We followed the trail towards the south end of Mist Ridge. Where the trail comes to a bit of a col below the ridge we stopped and turned right to ascend the north hill of the Mist Hills. Once at the high point we slipped over the edge to the east and found a sheltered spot for lunch.

After lunch we followed the ridge to the south end of the hill. Great views in all directions allowed us to watch a couple of squalls to the west and north. Return was reverse of the route up.

Stats from a couple of GPS showed we hikes about 14.5km with elevation gain of 815 meters.

Great day with a great group - thanks everyone for coming out.
