Most of us think of doing this trip in the spring, but it was a good choice for today, because of shelter from the worst of the strong winds and the gorgeous autumn colours. The drive on Highway 68 was particularly beautiful with golden aspens and the cows were for the most part cooperative.

This was billed as a fast pace and the group stepped up to the challenge, maintaining a swift 4.6 kph moving speed with no complaints. In fact, people were quite appreciative of the workout (the term “boot camp” was heard more than once) and the fact that we were back at the cars at 1:00, leaving lots of time for other obligations.

Many thanks to a cheerful, energetic group for a great half day: Sim,David,Jane,Cristina, coordinator Ingrid.
