I might post more trips with a "modest Rambler" pace if it means that I get six ladies and no other men! It was cool and a little overcast for our start, but once again the weather was nicer than in Calgary (in the morning).
Leaving at 9, we made it to the flagged eastern outlier at around 10.

We took the designated trail to the named peak of Powderface Ridge arriving there for elevenses. There we ran into a group of young people who seemeed to be looking for the "flag" probably for an Instagram photo. They had started from Powderface Creek trailhead (and seemed to be looking at their phone a lot). In the end they pretty much followed us along the ridge to the south peak and then down to the flag. I wonder if they planned the 26km/800m hike when they started.

On our way from the official peak to the higher south peak of Powderface Ridge

We made it to the south summit (which our devices show is a few meters higher) a few minutes after noon.

Lunch at the south peak of Powderface Ridge

After a nice lunch we followed the now well worn trail back to the official route and back to the cars a little after 1:30. The weather got progressively better during the day. The temperature was very comfortable once we got going.

Many thanks to six lovely ladies Sim, Christine, Photini, Barb, Teresa and Audrey, for joining me Carl (C/S) .
