Fresh air, snow and friends, a great way to wrap up the holidays before heading back to work. Even though this small peak has become popular in the last few years we had the area to ourselves on Sunday. Starting out in snowshoes we were fortunate to follow a broken trail to approximately half way up but then our luck ran out. The packed down path ended and trail breaking began so we continued to the third hump on the ridge and turned around. The thought of a slip there was undesirable. We retreated to a level area in the trees for lunch and were back at the car by 3:00 p.m. Thank you Teresa and Janice for joining me on a great calorie burn. Yours truly, Christine c/s/p
