We could see snow on the tops of Powderface Ridge, Forgetmenot Ridge , and Prairie Mountain as we drove to the trailhead, but our trail up to Nihahi Ridge was just a little damp in places.
The weather was great and we had all removed our layers before long. Flowers were finally beginning to appear for the summer and Cornelius was busy taking pictures as we walked along. To avoid the strong, cold wind at the lunch spot we sat just below the ridge and enjoyed a sunny lunch.By this time we could see that  the snow was gone on Powderface Ridge. We were back at the cars about 2:30.
