Trip Date:
27-May-2017
Activity:
Scramble
Trip name:
Wasootch Peak GR335455 NAD83
Coordinator:
Kevin
Report:
Seven ramblers left the vehicles at 9:15 am and headed up the dry creek bed at the trail head. It was a perfect day to be in the mountains, with brilliant blue skies and a slight breeze to help cool one on the 900 m trek up to the summit of Wasootch Peak. On the upper section of the ridge, two of the group donned helmuts and scrambled up the rock rib to the summit, while the rest of the group followed the off trail route.

The group reached the summit in 2 hours and 15 minutes, where we settled in for an extended stay to enjoy the great views.

Thanks to Scott, Inge, David, Chip, Clifton and Barbara for their great company and for joining me Kevin on a very pleasant mountain excursion.
