We had no problem finding the old road and following the well flagged trail to the summit of Hoffman. For such a low summit the views are quite nice After enjoying a long and relaxed lunch rather than retracing our way up (easy option) we continued on the ridge in a westerly direction and then went straight down what looked like a good line of descent, after making our way thru some nasty deadfall we encountered more friendly terrain and had no problems finding the wide Sheep river trail that leads to the bridge.
