We couldn't have ordered a better day for our hike.  It was cool enough at the start that we needed a light layer but by the time we mounted the hill past Stewart Creek all extra layers were shed!

We saw a few mountain bikers and some campers coming out. The group made good time and with a short break at the junction by the campground, we arrived at the lookout about 12:40pm.  The views were stunning and although there was a light breeze it was a pleasant lunch stop.  After about a 40 min lunch break we started back.  The trail was much busier now and certainly alot busier than previous years.  We arrived back at the cars just after 4pm - amazed at all the people in the day use area!

A few more flowers are starting to appear.  We saw Calypso Orchids along the lakeshore trail, some violets, kinnikinnick, strawberries in flower, clematis, and an indian paintbrush just starting to flower.

Thanks to Rejeanne, Alda, Carl, Teresa, John, Holly (new member - welcome!) and David for a great day!  Brenda c/s/p
