Our valiant effort wasn't rewarded with success. Starting on a bare and dry ridge we soon got into snow, deeper and deeper as we gained elevation. When postholing wasn't fun anymore a consensus was reached to turn back. After a quick lunch with a cold wind we did a little variation on return , reaching the cars at 2 pm. Trip stats ,(Harold's GPS ) 5.7 km and 465 m elevation gain
