Trail hike
Trip name:
Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park

Report:

Good old boring Glenbow Ranch at its best: warm, not a drop of rain, no wind, no mud and no cattle along the Bow River Loop.

Taking an information break

The river was higher than usual and moving fast but we were able to have lunch at our usual spot.

High and fast flowing Bow River

lunch at the usual spot by the river

We unintentionally scared several nesting killdeer by the river who then displayed their broken wing skills.

A big, fat badger had a good look at us and did not seem shy at all. At first I thought it was a small dog.

checking us out

New information material along the trail

An enjoyable 10 km walk on dry paths, without a single drop of rain and plenty of wild flowers.
