Ten of us arrived ready for the 9 AM departure. Unfortunately one, although bright and eager, had left their backpack at home. So only 9 of us headed up the trail. Despite earlier reports of possible weather problems, the day was often sunny with only some occasional stiff winds and a few sprinkles of rain.

The rock was hard and the scrambling good as we scooted up Door Jam. After a short break we continued up to Loder Peak in just over 2 hours. After a pleasant lunch on the summit of Loder Peak we noted the weather coming in from the west and headed down.

We were able to avoid downclimbing some of the most difficult slabs by taking a yellow ribboned track just east (left when climbing down) of the slabs. We arrived back at the cars at 1:15 PM.

Thanks to all the participants: Sim, Carl (my excellent mentor), Jeannette, Jane, Ulrike (photos}, Simon, Toshiko, Gary for making my third probationary trip at treat. Your coordinator John
