We had great conditions for our hike. We started our hike at 9, so did our climbing when temperatures were moderate. There was a slight cooling breeze on the ridge, so that kept us comfortable enjoying the flowers and views in the open areas of the long ridge and for our lunch at the summit.

Snack break in meadow

Few others on trail

Clear views from summit

Scorpion Weed and Arnica in logged area

Variety of flowers amonst the rocks

There were a few cars at the Lusk Creek parking before us, but we only encountered a few people on the trail (some on bikes, a few trail runners) until we neared the summit. There were at least 40 people at the summit when we arrived, most of whom would have come up the short route from the road.

Group at summit (Cecil getting max rest time before descent)

Thanks to a great group to share one of my favourite hikes with: Linda,Robert,Peter,Douglas,Carl,Rosalee,Cecil,Keith, and new member Doug from Barb.
