Junction hill traverse is a popular hike yet it was the first time doing it for most of the participants. The weather cooperated - not too hot, sun and clouds with almost no wind. That enabled us to have a leisurely lunch on the summit until the lack of sun at that time cooled us too much. The best route up to the ridge crest continues to elude me with Carl finding the better route. The route down has some ribbons that are off the faint established trail and best not followed. It is always a pleasurable ridge loop with views in all directions. Thanks to the participants for joining me and my nephew on an enjoyable Sunday in beautiful Kananaskis away from the hordes in the popular areas. Peakfinder photos courtesy of Carl.
