It was a lovely day in the Jumpingpound Loop area. Our hike around the loop started at Pinetop at 9:30 a.m. The temperature was a perfect 15 C. with a brisk wind but we had sunshine all morning, which made it very pleasant. Flowers spotted were larkspur, geraniums, red paintbrush, buffalo beans, dogwood, forget-me-not and arnica, to name a few. Reaching the Group Camp at Pine Grove at 11:30 a.m. we had a very civilized early lunch at the tables there. We returned via the usual route on the loop and reached our cars just before 1:30 p.m. Many thanks to everyone for a very enjoyable hike and good to see you all again from Jennifer c/s/p.
