Activity:
Off-Trail hike
Trip name:
Powderface Ridge from west (N-S traverse)
Coordinator:
Francisco
Report:

The perfect way to escape the heat of the plains , a pleasant ridgewalk with a nice breeze , expansive views and good company. By starting at the Sacramento pull out not only we saved 200 m of elevation and a few km of mundane walking but we were in open country in about 30 minutes.Leaving the trail at the pass we ascended the outlier before continuing to the main ridge. After a long and relaxed lunch we followed the ridge and eventually dropped down on a good path to the col and the main trail. Back at the cars at 2:45.
