Participants:

We met at the gate and headed off promptly at 10 am. For the first half of the climb the trail was bare and dry but with more compacted snow as we approached the ridge. Some people put on their icers, but they weren’t essential. Our lunch stop near the summit provided classic views of the frontal ranges without a cloud in the sky and no wind. The trail down the west ridge had compacted snow and some icy section, and icers were definitely useful for this part of the trip. As can be seen from the photographs, there is surprisingly little snow in the trees. Thanks to Rosanne,Philip,Bill,Nancy,Aldis, and Deborah for coming out. John c/s
