A good day of avalanche safety practice, I think most got some good practice and were happy with the day. In the scenarios all groups got to all their victems within the critical period.

There were some comunication/corordination issues with the event as a whole that could have been improved with either more FRS radios and/or an addition dedicated co-ordinator.

The site of Elbow lake trailhead had some pros and cons. The parking and immediate access to good semi open areas for the initial transiever practices and deep search worked well. The scenario areas were on good aspects, but were rather rocky and did not really have as much snow as you would want. another foot would have made things work really well. the scenario areas were just far enough away to hamper comunication... Although this is also a pro in terms of not giving the groups much time to pre-study the problem and watch other groups.
