While some are anxious to put fresh tracks in the snow, this group was happy to be hiking in the sun on a late Nov day.

The ground is now frozen so we encountered no mud except for the last slope down to the cars at the end. And, no ice - not even on the first descent!

We enjoyed a leisurely hike with lots of interesting conversation. No wind in the morning and only a slight breeze in the afternoon.

No wildlife, no other hikers, we did see a couple of people on horseback go by while we were lazing over lunch.

Thanks to a great group for a lovely day in the foothills.
