We just weren’t feelin' it. After arriving at the bench and slapped with a gale force wind, Little Arethusa didn’t look inviting in the least bit. We’ve been there and we’ve done that was the consensus. We observed glades to the south and came up with a Plan B. Even though it required descending along the gully then breaking trail up to the glades, this was a much better choice. Out of the wind we were able to stop for a moment and a snack before running down slopes of untouched snow. What a blast. There was approximately 35 cm on top of a very hard crust. We returned to the cars around 2:30 p.m. A huge shout out to Margot and Christine for joining me on a fun day out. Your’s truly Christine c/s/p
