The trip was posted at very short notice in response to a distinctly balmy weather forecast, and was filled within a few hours. We met at the Elbow Falls parking lot and headed off promptly at 10 am, collecting 3 more members of the group on the way. Apart from a section near the tree-line, the trail up was clear of slow and dry. We were expecting a gale to be blowing once on the ridge, but surprisingly there was nothing more than a gentle breeze blowing from the south-east. After a very leisurely lunch, the group voted to extend our day and return via the west ridge, which would add an extra 4 km. A short section of trail below tree-line did have enough compacted snow to require icers, but otherwise was mostly dry and in good condition. The sun and warmth (17C) made for a very leisurely descent, which included an impromptu yoga session. Returned to the vehicles at 3 pm. A delightful day. Thanks to Ron,Bill,Douglas,Aldis,Sonja,Jane,John,Joand Krzysztof for coming out. John c/s
