Scramble
Trip name:

Report:

The day started out with a bit of a cool wind which you always get on this trip. It did not matter much as we all quickly warmed up as we started up.

Start of Scramble to Gain the Ridge

The sky was relatively clear which made for great views as we gained some elevation.

Scrambly bits between DoorJamb & Loder Pk

Unfortunately three members moved well ahead and away from the group and strayed into the steep slabby area on climbers left.
When they realized their error they turned around and found themselves well behind and below the main group.
The main group was not able to see them until they were well up the ridge to the first summit.
While the group below were trying to catch up one member tripped and broke her wrist. Some restraining bandage and a sling was applied to the wrist and arm.
The other seven in the main group found out about the injury from other hikers well after they summitted Loder Pk.

There is probably a lesson here somewhere with respect to staying with the group and letting the Trip Co-ordinator set the route.
Perhaps the Incident Report will capture it.

Group Photo on Sumit (Krystyna our photgrapher Missing)

The main group finished their lunch and/or cigarette and proceeded down and joined back up with the others making their way down slowly.

Scrambling down

The member got a ride to Foothills were she received treatment for her injuries.
We understand it may take awhile for her to regain full mobility of her wrist and hope it goes well.

Thank you Krystyna for the photos.
Thanks to all participants Ron,Terry,Francisco,Jane,Katrin,Cristina,Krystyna,David,Brian for joining me Harold on this unfortunately eventful trip.
