Seven of met at Yellowhead Helicopter Pad in Valemont and got weighed in for the flight to Dave Henry Lodge. Dave Henry Lodge is a basic lodge (no indoor biffy and no running water) consequently midnight trips were necessary; however, one could admire the evening sky.

There was a wonderful wood stove which provided lots of boiling water.

The food was excellent.

There were a variety of trips and even though the terrain was moderate we all managed to get in some turns because of the excellent snow coverage.

The next few days the weather got really cold with a robust wind chill so this meant cold weather gear.
