It was -7 degrees on the car thermometer when we started at 10:30 am and +6 on the thermometer on Yoko's pack when we arrived back at the cars. No snowshoes were needed to walk the trail which was mostly covered with soft snow. However, there were several very icy sections that required traction devices by all participants.

The ski trails we crossed still looked to be in surprisingly good shape with soft snow, not icy and hard.
