Everyone except Julien, had done this traverse multiple times. However for me this was one of the worse conditions as it was quite icy necessitating use of micro-spikes and windy enough to blow me around. Some claimed that this wind made it more interesting. Pretty nice views from a clear sunny sky which we could enjoy from our sheltered lunch spot just below the summit. Air temperature probably near freezing on top (but much colder in the wind) and about +6 at the cars at 3.15pm.

John finishes lunch on summit of Mt. Yamnuska

Jack finishes lunch on the summit of Mr. Yamnuska (due to a strong wind, it was as cold as Jack looks). Nice view though.

View east from summit of Mt. Yamnuska

The scree descent was not frozen and fun as always. About 6 hours car to car which is a little slower than expected due to the conditions, my stiffening knees and good conversation. Thanks everyone. 8km with 900m elevation gain.

Participants: David, Arnold, John, Damian, Inge, Jack, Clifton, Julien
