It was a toasty day of sunshine on the south-facing slope of Green Mountain in Bluerock Wildland Provincial Park. Starting out by crossing the bridge over Tiger Jaw Falls in the ice box of the Sheep River canyon, we climbed to the sunny and warm meadows leading to Dyson Falls.

Dyson Falls

The creek crossing was unusually high due to the melting of the recent snows, but we made it across precarious stepping stones. We enjoyed lunch on the escarpment with fine views.

After lunch we explored around the rock formations which strongly resemble a Medieval castle.

We were back to the cars by 4:45. Wildlife seen on the drive: a herd of about 50 sheep, 3 deer and a flock of swans on a pond on Highway 22.
