Three of us headed up the Louise skiout in nicely cool temperatures and soon reached the beginning of the meadows in Wolverine Bowl (the bowl between Redoubt and Wolverine Ridge). The flowers were spectacular and we took lots of time wandering the meadows taking photos and trying to identify the flowers (thanks Philip!).

We couldn't see too well towards the west as we were climbing up to Wolverine Ridge. When we reached the ridge we were wondering about the weather, but enjoyed our lunch in sunny conditions watching the storms pass us by on the north.

But we were guaranteed no rain

By the time we climbed up to the summit of Purple Peak, there was a very strong wind , so we didn't tally too long before heading across the ridge towards Lipalian.

From the summit of Lipalian there were tremendous views from Assiniboine in the south, across the valley to the Ten Peaks and up the Bow Valley towards Balfour.

We decided to cut directly down towards Larch chair on a lovely scree run and only one short rocky ridge to cross. Then we headed to the left of Larch chair going down more scree to a sheltered part of the "Lookout" ski run where we could empty our boots of some rocky pebbles.

It was a lovely hike and we saw no one else except for a few groups on the Louise ski-out. Participants were Philip (P), Jeanne and Douglas (C/S/P).
