Report:
We had a very pleasant hike on the Minnewanka Trail with fabulous weather.  At the beginning of the trail there were sporadic sections of snow and ice (a couple of us used our microspikes) but as soon as we reached the shoreline trail, conditions were dry.  The lake still has a thin covering of ice which will probably disperse within the next week.  Other than ourselves, we only met a few hikers and mountain bikers on the way to Aylmer junction.  Conditions at the junction looked pretty good and the lookout looked fairly snow-free but I suspect there would be some deeper snow patches on the trail to Aylmer L/O.

Our pictureque lunchspot was on the beach by the campground and this was where some of our group encountered the dreaded tick!

Heading back around 1:15 there was considerably more traffic in the form of hikers and mountain bikers.  As for wildlife we saw a few deer and a sheep.  We also spotted some crocus among the spring vegetation.

Many thanks to a great group of Ramblers: Susan,Ivan,Bill,Margo,Yoko,Jane,Alice;George. from me,  Jennifer c/s.  Photos to follow.
