Excellent conditions today on the Skogan Pass trail. Some fluffy snow covered the previous trackset but the grooves were still visible from the tread of the many skiers out today. Fabulous conditions coming down the trail. There was a bit of a delay starting out as one participant discovered he’d brought his hiking boots, not his ski boots. We went to Kananaskis village where he rented some boots and skis then we drove back to the south parking lot at Nakiska. There he discovered that he’d also left his poles at home. So, on to the Nakiska rental shop for a pair of poles and then we were on our way. The temperature was just right at around -10C. The ski to the pass and back to the cars including two stops to eat and drink took 4.5 hours. Another enjoyable day in the mountains with very pleasant company.
