It was a very busy day at Nakiska and very crowded in the lodge this was probably because the international ski cross trials were being held. The skiers were like tiny fast insects coming down the slopes: however, as soon as we skied down to the bottom of Skogan Pass we left the noise and activity behind. There was enough fresh snow for us to make tracks and as we climbed higher, the snow coverage increased.
Chris & Jim on lookout trail Four of us managed the climb on wax. We had lunch near the pass.
Lunch: Martin(guest), Christine, Philip, Rosanne and Jimand enjoyed the views of the Three Sisters.
Three Sisters Since the snow coverage was good, we skied the two loops. Can anyone identify these strange creatures?
Extra terrestrial insects? We did 23 km in 6 hours. Good conditions. Thanks for an enjoyable day and thanks to Philip for taking the pictures and welcome to Martin, new member.
