Report:
Rummel Chester Traverse

It was a fine day for a ski tour, with mild temperatures good visibility and a few patches of sun.  With lots of fresh snow, it was heavy trailbreaking from the Rummel trail to near Chester Lake.

We found the meadows quite efficiently, and after much woomfing above the creek, we reached the pass and descended the gully in heavy snow. We bashed our way through the trees, emerging above the creek at the big avalanche slope off the South East slopes of Mt Galatea.

Some visited Chester lake, from where a fast descent saw us back at the parking lot by about 4 pm.

Thanks to everyone for their fine company, great trailbreaking and good cheer.
