We had a lovely blue-sky day west of Turner Valley in the Entrance Ridges. Although there was a very light dusting of snow when we first arrived, it was soon gone. The temperature was fairly constant throughout the day, around +3.  The trails were in great shape as the ground was frozen and there was only a little crusty snow in the valley and in some forested area.

1st climb of the day up to Carry Ridge

Mountain views were great as we went along Carry Ridge and when we took a snack break near the end of the ridge

We descended to the valley bottom and crossed the creek, but went further west than intended, so ended up coming out Forked Ridge.

We had lunch on the ridge.  On our wanders through the woods, we noticed that the squirrels in this area are particularly tidy, with very nice piles of cones ready for winter treats.

We came out to the road about 0.5 km west of the flags where our vehicle was parked.  Total hike was approx. 10km and 500m cumulative climb.

Thanks to a great group, and in particular to Brian who had brought his GPS which was helpful to confirm where we were (or weren't):
