There is some construction going on at the Pickle Jar Creek Recreation. They are constructing a new road to the washed out site. No word if they are restoring the recreational area at this point.

The trailhead is always a little difficult to locate but someone has erected some cairns to make it easier.

It was a sunny morning when we started out and it stayed that way for a pleasant day of hiking. No wind.

This hike doesn’t go above the tree line and you spend some good quality time in the trees. It’s part of the package.

You are rewarded with a pleasant stop at the Mist Ridge col and then a pleasant walk out back to the cars.

Thanks to all for joining me for a late fall hike.
