Great day in mountains, sunny day almost no smoke. First we had to move to West Valley Road because Shouldice PL was close to public /we were told it will be regular situation in future/. There is new trail going around Hidden Lake and col above. It goes higher up so is not affected by water level in lake- no bush-whack there anymore. Before end of lake it goes east on west side of Mount Sarrail in easy switchbacks. Much better than the old rooty, steep and always muddy old one. From col it is 1 km to falls. That included traverse scree slope and head-high dense bush. Slow going /2km-3 hours/. Bush-wack was reminder of greatest bush-wack ever-Le Roy Creek, just shorter. But reward was adequate to effort. Thanks everyone for staying cool in bush. Back at trailhead before dark /6:45 pm/.
