The trail to Rawson Lake is a good one for a hot day – it’s in shade between the parking lot and the lake both ways.

Arrival at Rawson lake

We left the lake and carried on to the lunch spot in the meadow at the south end near an avalanche run out. The meadow was full of anemones and glacier lilies and lots of non-biting flies

Even though we were in the sun at this point, the temperature was only 24 C so we had an enjoyable one hour stay. The area was extremely busy – some one likened it to lake Louise on a Sunday. We were back at the cars by 2:30.
