Activity: Trail Hike
Destination: Skyline Trail backpack
Report:

Day 1- Driving to Jasper in heavy rain. After last civilized meal in restaurant we start hiking. Rain was gone but lot of water was coming down from hills. Crossing roaring Evelyn Creek was very challenging- we all survived. Night in muddy Snowbowl CG. 12.4 km, 533 m el.gain.
Day 2- The best and most difficult day of trip. Superb weather and unbelievable view between passes, The Notch and Tekkara CG. Huge cornice at The Notch and long ridge-walk to CG. 19.6 km, 626 m el.gain.
Day 3- five more km of great ridgewalk then never ending fire road to trailhead. 14.5 km, 142 el.gain. Lucky us we saw all kinds of animals: bear, wolf, sheep, goat, marmot, elk, deer. Great group, thanks everyone for participation/ Yoko for pictures, Damian for numbers. John, Janice, Cordula, Bill-Susan, Yoko, Mayumi, Damian and IVAN.
